Olajumoke Delano is a seasoned business leader adept at handling legal, regulatory, and policy issues for large organizations. She heads the Regulatory & Government Relations function for Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC and is responsible for additional power procurement/ Distributed Energy Resources.
She has over 27 years of experience in various sectors including commercial banking, energy, and development finance. An energy and infrastructure professional, she is committed to the sustainable development goal (SDG) 7 targets, and champions increased access to safe, clean, and affordable electricity within sub-Saharan Africa. She is passionate about building platforms for collaboration across the region. Olajumoke is proficient in legal advisory, energy regulation and compliance, infrastructure development, public-private partnerships (PPP), projects and transaction structuring etc.
An international lawyer, she is qualified to practice in Nigeria, United Kingdom and the State of New York, USA. She holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance law from Queen Mary College, University of London. In addition, she is a member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria, a Chartered Secretary, and a Chartered Mediator.
She is a training facilitator in areas including energy law and regulation, corporate governance, corporate law, company secretarial practice etc. and has been a panelist on various industry panels.
