Biography

“I am an engineer by training with a passion and track record in the renewable energy sector. I have been working with GET.invest and its predecessor, the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP) since 2016, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My work contributed to private sector mobilisation and strengthening policy frameworks to unlock investments in the clean energy access space. Previously, I worked at the International Renewable Energy Agency where I contributed to establishing a scheme for solar PV installers certification across the Pacific Islands and a rental model for solar lanterns and solar agri-processing applications in Vanuatu Island. I also worked with the government of Dubai and innogy Consulting to design a long-term energy strategy to turn 75% of Dubai’s installed power capacity into a clean mix by 2050. I obtained my Mechanical Engineering Masters from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in 2011 and I am a certified Climate and Renewable Energy Finance Expert from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (2015).
