Ibironke Favour Olubamise (Mrs.)
Ibironke Olubamise has a total of 30 years of work experience. She is a LEAD Fellow, a Chevening Scholar, an alumna of the International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) and Sustainability Challenge Foundation.
She is the pioneer National Coordinator of the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP), Nigeria. With over 12 years working with the United Nations, she is responsible for strategic development and managerial oversight for the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme (GEF-SGP) Nigeria; the Community Based REDDD+ (CBR+) of the United Nations Programme on Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (UNREDD+) and the Global ICCA Support Initiative (GSI).
She has administered grant fund of over $12 million cash and in-kind and provided technical and managerial coordination to over 140 Civil Society Organisation (CSOs). She has coordinated the implementation of over 170 environmental projects in over 200 communities in 27 states in Nigeria, and built the capacity of CSOs for project design, proposal writing, implementation, and knowledge management.
Previously, she was the head of the Technical Programmes Department of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) and coordinated over 20 conservation projects in less than three years. She became the pioneer Head of Strategic Operations of NCF and improved the fortune of NCF in about two years.
